Visit by Senior Malaysian Military Officers

A group of senior Malaysian military officers and their spouses visited the National Library on 30 October. They were most impressed by the collections, in particular the current and historical maps of Malaysia in the Maps Reading Room and modern and historical publications about Malaysia in Asian Collections.

The group consisted of General Tan Sri Md Hashim bin Hussein, Puan Sri Hajjah Rabtah bte Abu Bakar, Major General Dato’ Abdul Aziz bin Hj Zainal, Datin Rosita bte MD Mawi, Brigadier General Muhamud Effendi Mustaffa, Major Johnny Lim Eng Seng. In attendance from the Malaysian High Commission were Colonel Abdullah bin Yatim, and Mrs N. (Anna) Hamdan, and Colonel Ian Lynch and Major Tara Bucknall, from the Australian Department of Defence.
