The National Library provides a range of fellowships which support research based on the Library’s collections. Applications are now open for the following:

Portrait of  Sir Harold White (1905–1992), the first National Librarian in Australia

Norman McCann Summer Scholarships
These support research in Australian history or literature by young Australians working at the Library for six weeks in January 2005.
Closing date: 30 June 2004

National Library of Australia National Folk Festival Fellowship
This provides a short residency for a folk performer to research original source materials.
Closing date: 30 June 2004

Council of Australian State Libraries Honorary Fellowships
These fellowships for established scholars and researchers offer no financial support but give privileged access to National Library collections and services.
Closing date: 30 June 2004
