Kinetica: Accessing Kinetica through EndNote

Creating bibliographies using the vast resources of Kinetica has never been easier. Library users and researchers with access to both EndNote software and Kinetica can now download a connection file to Kinetica from the EndNote website at <http://www.endnote.com/support/enconnections.asp>.

EndNote Web pageEndNote is a software tool which facilitates the creation, management and storage of bibliographic references. Researchers who have an EndNote licence can open and search a range of online bibliographic databases, and can import records in a bibliography-ready format.

The connection file will enable users to open and search Kinetica through EndNote and import records to easily create bibliographies and databases of personal references for use in reports, theses, assignments or any document. National Library staff have liaised with EndNote to establish searching options similar to those provided through KineticaWeb.

If your library provides end-user access to Kinetica, whatever you currently use for authentication will apply and you should notify your clients if a log-in and password is required. Libraries wishing to take advantage of this facility may need to liaise with their IT sections to set it up.

Instructions on downloading the connection file are available on the Kinetica website at <www.nla.gov.au/kinetica/manuals/endnote.html>.
