Ms June Norman, from the National Library of Vanuatu, is spending two months at the National Library of Australia, assisted by an Australian Leadership Award Fellowship from AusAID.
During March and April, June is spending time with a number of areas of the Library, looking at issues of relevance to her own library, including cataloguing, collection development policy and practice, strategic planning, education and promotion programs, and trends in information services. During her time in Canberra she will also visit the Australian National University’s Pacific collections areas.
The National Library of Vanuatu, within the Vanuatu Cultural Centre, was set up less than 30 years ago, and has specialist Vanuatu and Pacific collections.
