Libraries Australia Advisory Committee Welcomes New Members

The Libraries Australia Advisory Committee (LAAC) provides advice on strategy and policy issues affecting the delivery of the Libraries Australia service, the broad direction of service development, and changes occurring in the library community which are likely to affect services. The committee is made up of members from key stakeholder groups, including the public, university, state and territory, and special library sectors.

Geoff Strempel & Noelle Nelson

Noelle Nelson has joined the LAAC as a representative of the State Library sector. Noelle is currently the Director Library Services, State Library of New South Wales where she has responsibility for original and published collections, digitisation, a State government funded e-records  conversion project, collection preservation and access and information services.

Representing the public library sector is Geoff Strempel, the Associate Director of Public Library Services—the key strategic body in the library and information industry concerned with the future and the role of South Australia's public libraries—a business unit of the State Library of South Australia. Geoff also represents Public Libraries Australia on the Executive Committee of Electronic Resources Australia.
