National Resource Sharing Forum and Field Day
Library decision makers, interlibrary loan and document delivery practitioners are invited to convene at the Resource Sharing Forum to discuss new models for resource sharing and ideas for improving library service and processes.
Objectives of the Forum and Field Day
The overall objectives of the Forum and Field Day are to:
- commence national discussion on resource sharing future directions and needs;
- address the recommendations of the Peak Bodies Forum to "define a service model to ensure that individuals can access information easily regardless of their location";
- discuss the policy implications of the NRSWG ILL/DD Benchmarking Study;
- provide an opportunity for policy and decision makers in libraries to view ILL/DD software options for automation of ILL/DD processes; and
- provide an opportunity for libraries to communicate their system requirements to vendors.
