Registration

Registering for the conference is easy. All you need to do is complete the registration form, available in either PDF (124KB) or RTF (45KB) format, and send it to us with your payment. If you are using a Windows 2000 operating system, you may not be able to access the registration form using Netscape. Please use Internet Explorer instead.

You will need to post, fax or email your registration and payment, as there is no online registration. Please complete the form and send it to:

Conference registration fees

Members of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) AUD$700.00
Members Early Bird (Before 13 August 2004) AUD$600.00
Non-members AUD$800.00
Non-members Early Bird (Before 13 August 2004) AUD$700.00

Day delegates are welcome - the fee per day is AUD$285.00. It includes lunch and the Welcome Reception (if attending on Tuesday 9 November) but excludes the Conference Dinner on Wednesday 10 November.

Payment of fees must accompany all registration forms. Your registration WILL NOT be confirmed until payment is received in full. Payment must be made in Australian dollars (AUD$). To check what these fees are in your currency you can use a currency convertor.


Information Day registration fees

On 12 November a day to show case digital archiving tools and methodologies by participants from agencies around the world is being held. Nominations to participate in the Information Day are invited.

ALIA members and non-members AUD$100.00
Early Bird (Before 13 August 2004) AUD$80.00

All cancellations must be in writing and will be acknowledged by fax or email. The fee for cancellations will be:
By 30 September 2004: 30% of the registration fee
From 1 October 2004: The full fee will be payable. Substitute delegates are welcome.


Social program

The following social events are included in the conference registration fee for delegates. Accompanying persons may also come to the social events.

Pre-conference reception: The National Gallery of Australia is holding the pre-conference reception and a viewing of a selection of their galleries.
Accompanying persons are welcome free of charge.
Tuesday 9 November 2004
Evening
Conference welcome reception: The organisers welcome you to the conference in the foyer of the National Library of Australia with its 16 magnificent stained glass windows which glow as the sun sets.
Accompanying persons are welcome free of charge.
Wednesday 10 November 2004
Evening
Conference dinner: The magnificient Great Hall in Australia's national Parliament House is the setting for the formal conference dinner.
Cost for accompanying persons is AUD$110.00

Visa requirements

Please note that all visitors to Australia need a visa, except visitors from New Zealand who only need a valid New Zealand passport. Visa information, including application forms for the Short Validity Business Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) and the Business (Short Stay) Visa, is available from the Department of Immigration & Multicultural & Indigenous Affairs. Please visit the DIMIA Website or contact your local Australian embassy to determine which Visa you require.
