Highlights of the collection: The Local History Service is part of the Stonnington Library and Information Service. The Collection is managed by two Local History Officers, at present operating from separate Archives. The collections of the Prahran and Malvern Historical Societies (respectively) now form part of the Stonnington History Collection. Holdings include records of the fromer cities of Malvern and Prahran, photographs, books, land subdivision plans and auction notices, newspapers, ratebooks, street files, research notes, building citations, ephemera and general local history information. Much of the material has been catalogued to a database accessible from our website, comprising more than 30,000 records and 6,000 images.
