This activity allows students to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of how texts are influenced by audience, context and purpose. It also encourages students to engage with texts of their choice and allows for creativity in their choice of presentation.
Individually or in groups, have students create and present to the class a multimodal presentation on a poem, cartoon or short story of their choice. Using the skills developed through this module, ask them to analyse the cultural perspective of their chosen text, discussing the main themes, context and purpose the author is trying to communicate.
