Who can witness a statutory declaration?

Sir Philip Game writing at his desk

Copies of documents can only be certified by a person authorised to witness a statutory declaration.

The persons who can witness a statutory declaration are prescribed under the Statutory Declarations Regulations 1993 and include police officers, bank officers and Justices of the Peace amongst many others.

If you need to locate a Justice of the Peace, look in the Yellow Pages or try your local government's website.
