Become a member of Libraries Australia in a few easy steps

1. Apply for a NUC symbol

A National Union Catalogue (NUC) symbol uniquely identifies your library. You need it to add holdings to the Australian National Bibliographic Database (ANBD) and to use Libraries Australia Document Delivery.

You only need to apply for a NUC symbol if your library does not already have one.

2. Register your library's details

Register your NUC symbol and other details here.

3. Complete a user agreement

Print and complete the relevant user agreement:

User agreement for libraries and other organisations

User agreement for vendors providing services to libraries

4. Sign and send your agreement

Check that you have signed your user agreement.

Send your user agreement to Libraries Australia by scanning and attaching it to an online enquiry form, or posting it to:

Member Services
Libraries Australia
National Library of Australia
Parkes Place

5. Start using Libraries Australia

Once you have registered and your signed user agreement has been received by Libraries Australia, your new member pack will be sent to you within 5 working days, including:

  • your login details

  • information about Libraries Australia services and how to use them

  • a copy of the user agreement signed by Libraries Australia

  • information about how Libraries Australia invoices its members.

You will then be able to start using Libraries Australia.
