Libraries Australia Products is a fee-based service that provides members with the opportunity to obtain records from the Australian National Bibliographic Database (ANBD). Products are extremely flexible and can assist libraries in their workflows to achieve efficiency gains and improved data quality.
As part of this service we are continually looking to add capacity for new products, including linked authorities and obtaining RDA bibliographic records. A list of products available are on the Libraries Australia website, however if these don’t meet your requirements you can request a customised product through the Libraries Australia Help Desk.
Whilst pricing has largely remained unchanged there is an amendment to the per record charges from 1 July 2013 www.nla.gov.au/librariesaustralia/about/fees-charges/ .
You can access more information on how products can assist libraries and possible scenarios where you may consider using a product in our new Products Booklet available on the website www.nla.gov.au/librariesaustralia/services/cataloguing/products/ . There will also be more information on using Products at a session at the Libraries Australia Forum which is being held on 31 October 2013 at the University of Melbourne.
In the meantime, please contact the Help Desk (www.nla.gov.au/librariesaustralia/contact/ ) if you require assistance or further information about the Libraries Australia Products Service.
