Libraries Australia has improved access to the valuable and extensive microform research collections held within Australian libraries through the provision of cataloguing records on the Australian National Bibliographic Database (ANBD). These records are for the individual items within these collections.
Until 1998 the number of microform collection record sets on the ANBD remained relatively low. From 1998, access to European microform collections in Australian libraries was greatly enhanced through a funded project to acquire MARC records or catalogue individual titles for a range of microform collections.
There are now over 50 microform collections represented on the ANBD. Listed below are the collections that are available on the ANBD. MARC records for microform collections are loaded to the ANBD with Australian library holdings.
As part of this service, Libraries Australia staff will globally add your library’s holdings to each Microform Collection set you order. Please specify a holding statement for the set on the online order form. Either select one of the options provided on the order form:
Held: Available for document delivery
Held: Not available for document delivery
OR type in your own holdings statement in the box provided.
This holdings statement will be preceded by your library’s NUC symbol. There is no additional charge for this global addition of holdings.
Full & partial sets
Please indicate on the order form if you have purchased a full or partial set. Where you have purchased a partial set, please forward a separate file of key identifiers to the Help Desk. These key identifiers may be supplied as ANBD numbers, ISSNs or ISBNs. Alternatively please provide details on the online order form of whom we should contact to obtain this information.
