Business continuity for Partners

Trove Partners can reference this information about using Trove Collaborative Services while they are preparing business continuity plans in response to COVID-19.

How can I access Trove Collaborative Services remotely?

Most of our services are internet-based and you can access them using the links below:

You will need to have your username and password handy to access the systems remotely.

How can I continue to use the Libraries Australia Cataloguing Client remotely?

Staff who wish to use the Libraries Australia Cataloguing Client from a remote location will first need to download and install a version of the software locally.

There is no limit to the number of installations of the Cataloguing Client you can download for staff of Trove Partner institutions.

The Cataloguing Client:

  • is compatible with Windows 10 machines,
  • can be installed on staff members personal machines, and
  • can be accessed using your normal work login.

Please contact Trove Partner Support to request download and installation guidelines of the software.

How do I notify Partners about reduced services?

You can suspend interlibrary lending services entirely for a nominated period by suspending your LADD location within the LADD system.

As a short term measure we have also established a Reduced interlibrary loan and document supply services webpage with details of libraries that are offering only partial services. Contact us to be included on this list.

How do I know how other libraries are responding to COVID-19?

You can check the Reduced interlibrary loan and document supply services webpage for details on partial reduced Partner services, as partial services can’t be reflected in the LADD system.

The Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) have provided useful information on how Australian libraries are responding to COVID-19 on their website, including a list of postponements, cancellations and closures.
