Griffins' dream set to come to life

Griffins' dream set to come to life
22 February 2013

Rare original plans, silk lithographs and scrawled notes from the hands of Walter Burley Griffin and Marion Mahony Griffin will come to life in a new exhibition at the National Library from Friday 8 March.

The Dream of a Century: The Griffins in Australia's Capital, tells the story of the life and work of the Griffins, Canberra's original designers.

Many of the items in the exhibition have never been seen in public before, including material from the Eric Milton Nicholls Collection which the National Library acquired from the family of Nicholls, the Griffins' Australian partner.

From 8 March-10 June 2013

Free exhibition.
