Help us save rare map

Help us save rare map
30 October 2013

Help the National Library of Australia ensure the survival of one of the rarest maps in the world, Joan Blaeu's 1663 Archipelagus Orientalis.

Recently acquired by the Library in a fragile state, the Blaeu map has been stabilised by our expert preservation staff and is now on show in the Treasures Gallery as part of the Mapping Our World: Terra Incognita to Australia exhibition.

But more conservation work is needed to ensure the rare map survives for future generations to see.
