Waving the Red Flag: Chinese Posters 1949-1976 is the new collection-in-focus now on display in the Treasures Gallery on the Ground Floor.

Drawn from the National Library's Asian Collection, such posters were used by the People's Republic of China to instruct and mobilise the general public.

From images of Chairman Mao on the farm to calls to liberate Taiwan, the posters trace the vicissitudes of political campaigns that continually rolled through the country.

Free exhibition, open daily 10am-5pm.
