August is National Family History Month, so the National Library is encouraging everyone to discover more about their own family history.

Discover more at a family history learning session

In addition to our usual learning programs, we will host family history focussed learning sessions. Check out Maps for Family History for information on using the Library’s map collection, or Family Jewels or Pandora's Box to learn more about using DNA to trace your ancestry.

Communicate on Facebook

Our experts will be on hand on to answer your family history questions live: 10-11am on Tuesday, 8 August and 2-3pm on Thursday, 17 August (AEST). Follow the National Library on Facebook for more updates and to join in!

Not on Facebook? Ask us a question anytime through our free Ask a Librarian service.
