A COVID-safe visit

The National Library of Australia building is closed temporarily until further notice, in line with ACT Government health directions.

Opening hours

The Library building opens at 8.30am on weekdays and 9am on weekends - closing times and reading room hours vary, so check our full hours before you visit.

The Library is located on Parkes Place in the central Canberra suburb of Parkes.
