Provenance
The collection was donated by Helen Wilson to the National Library in several instalments between 1980 and 1984.
Biographical Note
Helen Helga Wilson (nee Mayne) was born in Zeehan, Tasmania in 1902. She spent her early years in the Western Australian goldfields, where her father was a mining engineer. She was educated in Methodist Ladies College, Perth Modern School and the University of Western Australia. Her published works include The Mulga tree (1980), Cyclone coasts: Australia's north-west frontier (1980), The house at Hardie's corner (1984) and two collections of short stories A show of colours (1970) and The skedule and other Australian short stories (1979). Wilson died in 1991.
