Join us for an afternoon of learning simple binding techniques and discussing tips and tricks concerning planning and making artists books. All levels of experience are welcome.

Participants to bring: notebook and pencil, drawing materials if desired. If there is a particular quote, poem or text that interests or haunts you, bring it.

Caren Florance (aka Ampersand Duck) has been making a wide variety of artists books for about 25 years. She is also a commercial designer and a writer of many things. She encourages her students to be playful, curious and to follow their own interests. Many of Caren's artist's books and zines are in the Library's collection and were on display at the recent Friends White Gloves event.

Refreshments and all other materials provided.
