Joint AGHS & Friends event
Trisha explores the relationship that exists between ourselves, our gardens and the natural landscape. Her message is the need to understand and respect the environment in our garden making. By approaching nature with humility, rather than a desire to control it, we can make our gardens places of beauty and peace. Seeking meaning as well as beauty in garden making.
Trisha Dixon is a photographer writer who cut her teeth researching the philosophy and landscapes of Edna Walling along with studies in Landscape Design. Having inhabited many roles: pilot, journalist, television presenter, photographer, landscape designer, heritage advisor and international tour leader, Trisha is the author of a number of books, her most recent being The Spirit of the Garden.
Light refreshments provided.
This event is a collaboration between the Australian Garden History Society and the Friends of the National Library of Australia.
